Here was a typical 70's style office building built of concrete and glass.
The increase in staff numbers and IT equipment needed a flexible cooling system. Byair installed four Toshiba SMMS variable refrigerant systems throughout the three office floors. Concealed ducted fan coil units located within the false ceiling void were discretely installed, enabling the ‘classic’ teak paneled interior design to be retained untouched.
Informa Facilities Manager Dave Green said, "This building is now thirty years old and if we were to keep it we had to do something about the comfort levels. The Toshiba system has been beautifully and discreetly installed and has made a huge difference."

KeyMed's facility in Southend on Sea manufactures "state of the art" medical camera equipment and were in need of a replacement system for their ageing gas fired warm air heaters serving both production and storage. Byair installed the latest energy efficient combined gas fired air handling units with DX cooling manufactured by Reznor. The units are listed with the Carbon Trust and qualified for ECA.
